About CSAF  

The Chandra Sang Adventure Foundation (CSAF) aims to familiarize participants with the various nuances of our natural environment and to impart training in skills that will enhance our abilities to enjoy the great outdoors. Adventure training in the great outdoors has the effective ability to groom participants both mentally and physically.

The CSAF was set up by PadmaShri and Arjuna Awardee Chandra Sang (Chandra Prabha Aitwal). The name Chandra Sang is familiar to the avid adventure lovers around the world. But for those who are not, she is a mountaineer of International repute who has conquered peaks in the NewZealand, Japan and other parts of the world. She was also an Officer on Special Duty (Adventure Sports) in the state of Uttar Pradesh and later in the mountain state of Uttarakhand.
The title Sang (Japanese for Ji) was conferred on her by her admirers in Japan. She has also worked as a Special Expert Trainer with the top mountaineering institutes and various government agencies in India and the world. Under her able guidance the CSAF aims to:

• To impart special skills in adventure pursuits of various kind
• To familiarize people with the great outdoors.
• To create an awareness and responsibility towards our natural environment.
• To introduce participants to the people and culture of the Himalayas.
• To evolve leadership skills and qualities.
• To equip participants with outdoor survival and management skills
